Thanksgiving is Coming: Read!

Thanksgiving is coming, although not immediately. For that matter, this year, Thanksgiving is coming very late, on the 28th.

In the next three weeks, let me offer a reading suggestion. Tracy McKenzie, a professor at Wheaton College, just published a book called The First Thanksgiving: What the Real Story Tells Us about Loving God and Learning from History.

The First Thanksgiving

I want to highly recommend this book. It will set you straight on what we actually know and don’t know about the First Thanksgiving. More importantly, it’s very helpful in how we learn about and learn from history. I highly recommend it.

If that’s not enough to whet your appetite, today I have an extended review of the book up at Religion in American History, here.
